How do I make a purchase?
For work that has been published, there will be links on the page that you can follow to make the purchase on other platforms. We don’t sell the books here. We’re just trying to make it easier to find a good story. We don’t use any algorithm or marketing tactics, we just let you browse the catalog and pick what you like.
For Writers
What are your submission rules?
Silt Media is looking for good stories in every genre. We do have a few guidelines:
- A manuscript review or edit is highly recommended. This is where a human editor reviews your manuscript.
- For books: have ARC readers review your work. If you need help setting this up, reach out to me here.
- No government politics or agendas.
- Human generated work only.
Before you submit, please take note of the Terms and Conditions.
How is this different from other sites?
Silt Media is part of a larger plan to link good stories to people who make them into films. You don’t sell your work here. You tell people about it and tell them where they can get it. I’m hoping this will eventually reach filmmakers and studios and become the place people go for a good story.
There is no algorithm here. We help people find good stories with our synopsis and comps.
What is Silt Media looking for?
Silt Media is open to all genres but my main interest is characters. I’m looking for morally complex people and protagonists who are compelling yet difficult to like. I’m not looking for easy comfort. I’m looking for stories that force their characters to earn their safety.
We’ll take books, screenplays, stage plays, fanfics and poetry.

How much does this cost?
For writers: nothing. This platform is new and I’m not going to ask writers to pay for something that hasn’t proven it’s worth yet. I may need to rethink this if the site gets big enough, because of upkeep costs. But for now, there is no charge to list your work here. And if the site does get that big, I’m hoping other funding sources will allow me to keep it free for writers – please see below.

What’s the catch?
If anything shared on this website becomes the subject of any screen adaptation, the owner of Silt Media requests the right of first refusal. In plain terms, if any filmmaker contacts you asking to turn your work into a screen adaptation (yay!), Silt Media will ask to negotiate an Executive Producer credit. The purpose of this credit is to gain publicity that draws more readers and filmmakers to this site. And eventually, start raising funds to cover running costs for the site.
Note: this does not take any money from the writer.
How do I use this?
For now, please submit a “Create Profile” form and I’ll set the page up for you. If you have more to add later, please use that same form to let me know. I am hoping to build a way for writers to create and edit their own profile soon.
Please include any comps for your work as these help readers find what they like.

No. Silt Media is only open to human work.
